Experience an enchanting evening of dancing with your sweetheart (or maybe meet one!), amidst 1940s and 50s vehicles, movie set lights & props, re-enactors, sleighs, Christmas trees, a canopy of lights & the most sought after big bands and vintage touring acts including Jukebox Saturday Night, The Satin Dollz (coming all the way from Hollywood), Dandy Wellington (Coming straight from NYC), The Hot Tomatoes Dance Orchestra, the (19 piece), Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles and Bianca and the Flyboys with the Denver Dolls!

A holiday spectacle of dazzling lights, festive music, and dancing that will bring back the feeling of Christmas, just like the ones 'you used to know!'

We're back and... It's a Wonderful Life!

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of this timeless classic 1946 Christmas movie, our 2021 theme will be "It's a Wonderful Life"! And to top that off in grand style, ZUZU Bailey (Karolyn Grimes) from the 1946 movie will be joining us! Karolyn will be signing custom, "It's a Wonderful Life" ornaments that you can hang on your tree for years to come. Stop by to say hello to Karolyn, take a photo, and grab an ornament! She will be joining us on both Friday and Sat.

We'll also have a re-creation of the stage from the movie White Christmas and the entrance to the Columbia Inn, Pine Tree, Vermont! A Count Your Blessings fireplace lounge area and the WWII stage scene from the movie where Bing sings White Christmas!

Watch the most iconic films of the 40s and 50s come to life! You are going to feel just like you are in these legendary movies!

Other Information and Policies

Attire

We strongly advise 1940s and 50s holiday themed evening attire, party dresses and/or uniforms. Actual vintage dress is best, however if you cannot find period attire to wear, women can wear a modern dress that is cut like those from the era with vintage accents such as vintage jewelry and/or a flower in their hair and men can wear a modern suit that looks similar to those of the era with accents like a fedora, suspenders or a bow tie. Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final and the event is rain, snow or shine. We do not offer refunds due to scheduling conflicts, illness, injury or other personal issues (under any circumstances, there are no exceptions). The value of an unused ticket can be applied to the summer or winter event the following year -- however, you must let us know at least 1 week prior to the event you purchased tickets for so that we can cancel your tickets and catering order. Please email info@1940sball.org to set this up (at least 1 week prior to the event) and we will turn your ticket into a credit voucher good for 1 year. Transfer requests after 1 week prior to the event you purchased tickets for will not be accepted.

Covid Policy:

The safety of our attendees and staff is our primary concern, and we are taking every precaution we can to make the event as safe and responsible as possible. Barring any significant developments with city and state mandates - we will be requiring proof of vaccine* or 48 hour negative test results** and masks will need to be worn when not eating or drinking. This is based on and in accordance with Colorado Department of Health guidelines and industry best practices. We will also have half of the capacity that we usually do to allow for seating and social distancing. Thank you for helping us to keep the 1940s White Christmas Ball on schedule as planned and for your understanding in getting live events back up and running!

*Acceptable documentation may be a physical copy of a Covid-19 vaccination card, or a digital copy of a card, such as a Mycolorado app, or a photo of your card. To be considered fully vaccinated, you must have completed both Moderna, Pfizer or AstraZeneca shots, or a single Johnson and Johnson shot 2 weeks before the event.

**A negative COVID-19 test result (molecular, PCR or antigen) that was administered by an official testing center. Test results must have been taken within 48 hours of the show. Home testing kits will not be accepted for entry.

If the event is rescheduled due to COVID restrictions, tickets will be 100% refundable or you can choose to keep your tickets and transfer them to the rescheduled date.
